3 Halloween Ideas for Adults Without Kids + Thursday 3 Link Up

When most people think of Halloween, they think of children dressed in super cute costumes. I remember when I was little what you were going to be and who you were dressing up with was a REALLY big deal. Even through college, my friends and I made dressing up a top priority. Now that college is over and I’m trying real hard to be a real life adult, I’m struggling to figure out how adults do Halloween. I mean, I clearly won’t be knocking on doors asking for candy and I won’t be headed to any frat parties, so how am I supposed to celebrate Halloween?! (more…)

3 Ways to Increase Your Daily Water Intake + Thursday 3 Link Up

Part of my journey to live a healthier life includes drinking more water. It wasn’t until The Boy and I were discussing how much water we drink daily, that I realized I honestly don’t drink very much. It isn’t because I drink sugar-filled beverages in place of water, I simply don’t drink anything at all. I’ve been told people often mistake their thirst for hunger and that this can lead to overeating and subsequently weight gain. Since learning that, I’ve been trying to drink more water, but it isn’t always easy. Simply having a water bottle on my desk doesn’t inspire me to drink it so I decided to seek out some ways to increase my daily water intake. (more…)

3 Alternatives to Your Boring Gym Routine + Thursday 3 Link Up

For about the past year, The Boy and I have been trying to take better care of our bodies by exercising and being conscious of what we’re eating. When we’re in the gym together, I pretty much do whatever my trainer (i.e. The Boy) tells me to do. The real issue comes when I’m in the gym by myself. I honestly don’t really know what to do and get a little self conscious OR I hop on a cardio machine for 45 mins and I’m out the door. On a good week, when I make it to the gym multiple times, I lose interest in my routine and it’s harder to return the next day. Now I know weight lifting and cardio machines have their place in reaching my body goals, BUT I believe the incorporation of 3 alternatives to my usual routine will prevent me from getting bored and my body getting used to the same workout. The Royal Travel Guide to Kansas City, MO

Approximately two weeks ago we took a trip to a place that has become our home away from home, Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City is only a 3.5ish hour drive from St. Louis and with two high school besties and a college buddy up there it makes for one of my favorite weekend getaways. The frequency of our trips probably has me a little bias, but I firmly believe Kansas City is a fun, affordable destination that young couples and families alike can enjoy. Kansas City reminds me a lot of St. Louis, in that sports are huge, there are lots of places to shop, and it isn’t as face pace as cities like Chicago or Atlanta. (more…)

GUEST POST: 3 Photo Printing Solutions +Thursday 3 Link Up

Lately I’ve been knee deep in adulting and haven’t been able to spend the amount of time I’d like blogging. In an effort to help me stay above water and not deprive you all of the greatness that is the Thursday 3 Link Up, one of my dearest friends offered to write a post on a topic that fairly recently became relevant to me personally. I don’t want to steal her thunder, but what I will say is that I agree some of the pictures in our phones should be preserved for ever in a frame and not just on the cloud. Without further adieu, here are 3 photo printing solutions for anyone wanting to create lasting memories…. (more…)
