One of my guilty pleasures is the Real Housewives franchise, my favorite being Lisa Vanderpump of RH of Beverly Hills. Lisa has a closet to die for and when I’m not wishing I could wake up with her wardrobe, I’m lusting over her magnificent home decor. While I hope to one day have my own house that has its own name, for now I’ll be living it up in my 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom apartment. My plan is to make it lust-worthy like Lisa’s, but ya know on my budget. (more…)

Hey Royals! Happy New Year. I hope you guys have had a stellar holiday season and your 2017 is off to a great start. This is the time of the year that most of us are embarking on new goals/resolutions and one very common goal revolves around finances. Many people want start the new year with the plan to save more money, but then life starts happening and the first thing thrown to the wayside is your savings goal. While I’ve shared a few ways to budget your money, and ultimately create a savings, I recognize that it can sometimes be hard to stick to a budget and be dedicated to saving money. Over the last year, I have been EXTREMELY displeased with our cable company, but I’ve been scared to cut the cord. While our free time is scarce, almost anytime I’m not obligated to be somewhere I like to be parked in my favorite spot on the sofa watching my shows. I believe my fear stemmed from the false belief that I wouldn’t be able to watch my shows when I wanted to or I wouldn’t be able to watch them at all (so many sites require you to enter your cable username and password to access their on-demand library). After much discussion and slowly weaning ourselves off, The Boy and I decided to cut the cord and break up with our cable provider. Here are 3 reasons why you should break up w/ your cable company too.

Since I’ve published 10 inexpensive date ideas for the winter, spring, and summer. it seemed only logical to compile a list of 10 inexpensive fall date ideas. I figure this list will serve as a good brain storm session for me AND aid my royals in finding inexpensive (but good) dates to wow their partner. (more…)

The whole point (very simply put) of Royalty in Reality is to help millennials live life like the celebrities they most admire with the bank accounts of poor post-grad professionals. Even with housing payments, student loans, utilities, and all the other bills that come up, no one should have to go without the things that bring joy into their life when they are getting up every day and going to work. For me and many women I know, one of our many joys is in our appearance. After a long work week, almost nothing starts the weekend off better than a good pedicure. Thanks to Groupon, Royals on a budget can enjoy many a plethora of beauty services near their homes at super affordable prices. (more…)
