4 Tips to Staying Sane While Hunting for a Job

As you all know from my life update last month, grad school is done and I’m on the hunt for a job in the field of Public Health. I feel like what no one tells you is how exhausting hunting for a job is. It seriously feels like a full-time job that requires patience, persistence, and a whole lot of prayer. Looking for a job can often make you feel down or depressed, like you simply just aren’t good enough. That’s exactly how I was feeling (and sometimes still do) about a month ago.

Restaurant Review: Brunch at Cielo Restaurant & Bar

The only thing I think I love as much as I do clothes/shopping is eating. Whether it’s a restaurant or a recipe from pinterest, if the rest of the world is feeling it, I more than likely willing to try it. I particularly love trying new restaurants and sharing them with all of you. 4 Things College Students Need to Know About Student Loans

August is here, which means hundreds of thousands of students are gearing up to head back to campus. Freshmen are excited to FINALLY be done with high school and leaving their parents’ house, while seniors can’t wait to see all their friends and start the count down to graduation. What I’m pretty sure no one is worrying about is their student loans. When I was in undergrad, and admittedly grad school too, I wasn’t thinking anything about my student loans. I knew I’d have to pay them back eventually, but I was just happy to have the semester paid-in-full and impatiently waiting for that refund check to hit my account. Now that school is done and my loan providers basically want my first (unborn) child as payment, I’m realizing I should have been worrying about my student loans from day one! (more…)

5 Bridal Show Survival Tips to Make the Most of Every Show

Happy Wedding Wednesday Royals! I told you guys last week that I am very slowly climbing aboard the wedding planning train. The good news is the train has left the station! I am committed to documenting my journey and sharing it with all of you. Over the weekend, I attended the Wedding Connection Bridal Show, here in St. Louis.
