Unless you’re new here, it’s no secret that I am NOT a beauty blogger. I never thought I’d use the phrase low-maintenance to describe myself, but when it comes to my beauty routines I think that’s the perfect way to describe them. Since becoming a blogger, I’ve made an effort to wear makeup at least on the weekends or if I have an event/photoshoot. If I’m being honest 9 times out of 10, I’m rocking my bare face, but that doesn’t mean I’m not using products to put my best face forward. I confessed a while back that I wasn’t much of a makeup wearer, but since I started this blog I’ve been making a greater effort to step my game up. I certainly believe there is a certain level of education necessary when you’re diving into an unknown pool. So I haven’t just been trying to learn about new trends, I’ve also been trying to increase my knowledge about makeup itself. Exactly one year ago, I set out on a journey to be a naturalista. I was on a mission to go without applying heat to my hair. I tried perm rods. flat twists, and even a puff, but concluded that wearing natural hairstyles required WAY too much time and effort for me. After that short journey, I returned back to the world of weave (or extensions if you want to be politically correct).
