3 Great Valentine’s Day Ideas for Him + Thursday 3 Link Party

Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and if you haven’t made any plans you better keep reading. Valentine’s Day is a holiday usually catered to and centered around women. I’m not sure who made the rules, but somewhere along the way this holiday became men proving/professing their love to their woman while the woman sat back and soaked it all in. Now, I’m all for being spoiled and having The Boy shower me with love, BUT I think it’s unfair that a day reserved for lovers only celebrates the love in one direction. I like to shower The Boy with love and believe it’s important that he also feels special on Valentine’s Day. However, it can be a little tricky finding an activity that’s not too girly. but actually shows love in a way he will perceive as such. This is why I’m sharing 3 great Valentine’s Day ideas for him that your man will love! (more…)

Thankfully, I was approached by another blogger to guest post here on Royalty in Reality and he wanted to write about romantic places right here in St. Louis. I can hardly believe that summer will officially be over in just a couple of weeks. This summer has passed in a blur. Between trying to finish up grad school, attending weddings, and working multiple jobs, The Boy and I haven’t had as much time for dates. Thankfully, we live together, so seeing each other isn’t an issue, but frankly we haven’t really had the energy to think outside of the box as far as date nights are concerned. As of today, I’m going to commit to making more of an effort during the fall season. Since I’ve published 10 inexpensive date ideas for the winter, spring, and summer. it seemed only logical to compile a list of 10 inexpensive fall date ideas. I figure this list will serve as a good brain storm session for me AND aid my royals in finding inexpensive (but good) dates to wow their partner. (more…)

GUEST POST: So You’re Finally Ready to Date?

With Valentine’s Day just days away and The Boy and I celebrating our four year anniversary yesterday, I have been all caught up in being in love with him. While in my blissful stupor, and probably doodling “R <3 J” all over the place, I began to realize not everyone is floating around on cloud nine because of their relationship. That realization then made me decide that another Valentine’s Day post surrounding this idea that you have a man/woman was totally ignoring my Royals who are still looking/waiting for love. I know that I’m too far out the game to really be making recommendations to single people (I legit still don’t really know what Tinder is) so I thought I’d leave it to my expert single friend.  She’s an entrepreneur, amazingly beautiful, is literally the most generous person I know, and any man would be lucky to call her his, but for reasons I can’t understand she’s still single. Lucky for me, she graciously agreed to share her guidelines for anyone who is ready to step into the crazy world that is dating.  (more…)
