It’s no secret around here that I’m a fan of all things simple. Whether it’s the lazy girl’s guide to a morning routine or a meal that doesn’t require hours to make, I’m here for anything that makes my life easier without skimping on the quality. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the girl who NEVER knows what to wear and spends far too much time standing in front of the closet in my underwear. Let me tell you guys my life changed when the athlesiure wear trend came along and I’m hoping it is here to stay! (more…)
The only thing I’m probably more obsessed with than catching Pokemon right now is catching deals on clothes, shoes, and accessories. Any blogger that has a fashion component to their blog can attest to the desire to want to always showcase a new outfit. However, for bloggers on a budget, this is rarely a realistic goal. I am personally a HUGE believer in re-wearing things. I mean, after all, that’s why washers and dryers exist. Despite my willingness to repeat an outfit or item, I try to pick up new things whenever my budget will allow. I justify my shopping by almost always buying things at a discounted price. The Boy and I have officially been together for 4 years, but I swear it feels like my entire life (in a good way). We’ve been living together 2.5 of those 4 years. Having an in-house photographer is such a blessing. I can pretty much do photo shoots whenever, but it also means I have a tendency to procrastinate getting my photos done. The Boy and I had plans to start our Valentine’s Day shooting my outfit for the evening. Unfortunately, we woke up to a baby blizzard and the cute, slinky, spaghetti strap red dress with open-toed sling backs I had picked out was in no way shape or form going to work. Let’s just say I went into total panic mode. Because I’d already purchased the red dress buying another outfit wasn’t an option, so I needed to find something already existing in my closet. (more…)
I am an avid fan of Halloween. In college, my friends and I always had multiple social events to attend and there was no way we were going to be caught wearing the same thing twice. Unfortunately, since graduation there have not been many Halloween parties to attend. When the The Boy informed me of an invitation to attend a Saturday Night Live themed party, I was thrilled to have an opportunity to dress up again. Not having watched SNL in years, I was at a total loss for what we should do. I eventually ran out of time and The Boy didn’t want to dress up anyway so I figured this would be a good excuse to pull out my favorite white jeans. (more…)
