Easy Summer Recipe – Shrimp Foil Packets

I remember when The Boy and I first moved in together, I was bending over backwards trying to cook health meals every night. My attempt to be healthy meant LOTS of baked meals, which was basically torture during the warm summer months. Grilling is the perfect way to enjoy healthy meals without heating the entire house, but truth be told I don’t know the first thing about grilling. Lucky for me, The Boy has become a bit of a grill master and since he handles the hard stuff (getting the fire/heat just right), I can focus on what’s actually going ON the grill. Over the weekend, I decided to try my hand at grilled shrimp foil packets. They ended up coming out really well considering I’m no pro when it comes to the kitchen and a total novice on the grill. GUEST POST: 8 Reasons Why You Should Try Home Chef

Hey Royals! TSF here and I’m back to share my 2 cents about something I think you all would love. Roxy often shares recipes and budgeting tips (which I’ve added to my arsenal of “live right goodness”) so I was excited to combine the two and experiment with a meal kit service. My choice was Home Chef. For those of you who are not familiar with a meal kit/delivery service, it’s essentially a program that lets you pick your meals for the week, then delivers all the ingredients to your doorstep. Each service is different in terms of how many meals you can order, how many recipes are available, how long you have to choose your menu etc, but the concept is the same.

World’s Easiest 30-minute Garlic Bread

I don’t know about anyone else but I am still reeling over Beyonce’s half time performance and the Carolina Panthers unfortunate fall to the Denver Broncos. Even though I was disappointed with the game’s outcome and this year’s commercials, the food surely did not disappoint! Last week, I put together a group of recipes that would be perfect for the Super Bowl from some of my fellow bloggers. It was really hard trying to decide which one to try, but when I woke up on Sunday I was still feeling my Mardi Gras fun, so I went for the garlic bread because it looked the easiest and required me to purchase very little. Super Bowl Recipe Roundup

The first excuse to binge eat and drink is upon us, Super Bowl 50 is this Sunday! This day also comes just a little bit over a month after we have all made resolutions to be more health conscious, eat better, lose weight, or exercise more. For those of us with these goals, a day of eating hot wings, pizza, drinking beer, and eating cute football decorated cupcakes can really set us back. While we’ve decided not to host a Super Bowl party this year, we will be attending one and I want to be sure there is at least one dish The Boy and I won’t feel guilty about eating. In trying to decide what I should make, I did what any blogger would do, went to my blogging community to ask for help! I was overwhelmed by the response I got from my BLM girls! They suggested so many healthy-ish and delicious looking recipes that I had to share some of them with all of you! (more…)
