Easy Summer Recipe – Shrimp Foil Packets

I remember when The Boy and I first moved in together, I was bending over backwards trying to cook health meals every night. My attempt to be healthy meant LOTS of baked meals, which was basically torture during the warm summer months. Grilling is the perfect way to enjoy healthy meals without heating the entire house, but truth be told I don’t know the first thing about grilling. Lucky for me, The Boy has become a bit of a grill master and since he handles the hard stuff (getting the fire/heat just right), I can focus on what’s actually going ON the grill. Over the weekend, I decided to try my hand at grilled shrimp foil packets. They ended up coming out really well considering I’m no pro when it comes to the kitchen and a total novice on the grill. The Royal Travel Guide to Kansas City, MO

Approximately two weeks ago we took a trip to a place that has become our home away from home, Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City is only a 3.5ish hour drive from St. Louis and with two high school besties and a college buddy up there it makes for one of my favorite weekend getaways. The frequency of our trips probably has me a little bias, but I firmly believe Kansas City is a fun, affordable destination that young couples and families alike can enjoy. This makes getting dressed that much more difficult when you’re trying to keep warm during your morning commute, but don’t want to sweat like a big at lunch. Today, I thought I’d share some tips on how to transition your wardrobe from Summer to Fall to make getting dressed in the morning a little bit easier.  (more…)

Bargain Hunting at The St. Louis Premium Outlets

The only thing I’m probably more obsessed with than catching Pokemon right now is catching deals on clothes, shoes, and accessories. Any blogger that has a fashion component to their blog can attest to the desire to want to always showcase a new outfit. However, for bloggers on a budget, this is rarely a realistic goal. I am personally a HUGE believer in re-wearing things. I mean, after all, that’s why washers and dryers exist. Despite my willingness to repeat an outfit or item, I try to pick up new things whenever my budget will allow. I justify my shopping by almost always buying things at a discounted price. When my blogger pal Psyche of Economy of Style invited me to a shopping event at my favorite outlet in town, The St. Louis Premium Outlets, the budgetnista fashionista in me jumped at the chance to save some coins and grab a few new items!
